GreenH received, in tough competition with 29 other projects, support for its planned plant in Kristiansand. The application was submitted together with Veidekke, NorSea Group, and the county council of Møre og Romsdal.
Received support in tough competition
In tough competition with 29 other projects, GreenH received support for its planned plant in Kristiansand. The support is given as part of Enova’s Maritime Hub programme where Enova will give money to two to four plants of up to 150 million NOK.
Good hub for hydrogen
Kristiansand is a good hub for hydrogen. It is one of Norway’s busiest ports with 16,000 port calls per year. In addition, it is close to the airport, fast ferry, and other industry that could use hydrogen in the future. “This fits well with our strategy on where we establish ourselves,” said Morten S Watle of GreenH.
Good cooperation partners
The projects has been developed in connection with Veidekke, NorSea Group, and the county council of Møre og Romsdal. Norconsult will carry out research on new concepts that GreenH is developing for the Kristiansand plant. Maturity of the project was one of Enova’s criteria for selecting the project. GreenH is convinced that the good cooperation over a long period has contributed to the project being well received now, and will contribute to the project standing out in future applications as well.
